Structure Cloud

feature: New improved Gantt UI

structure.gantt

Get ready for bolder, brighter, less-cluttered Gantt charts!

Introducing Bold mode, a whole new way to visualize your data:

  • Colors are bolder
  • Taskbars are thicker
  • Names and keys are inside the taskbar, rather than beside it
  • Resource avatars are used in place of names

Bold mode Gantt chart

We’ve also moved color selection to a new Appearance tab in Gantt Settings:

  • Choose between Bold mode and Standard mode
  • Select bar and text colors
  • Create exceptions (assign different colors for certain issues) without needing to use Slices

By default, all new Gantt charts will use Bold mode. To change your setting, or switch older charts to Bold mode, go to Gantt settings | Appearance.

feature: New Navigation, Favorites, archiving and more

structure for jira

Navigation panel

We’ve added a new navigation panel to easily access all your structures, create new structures, and find our help resources.

The navigation panel is unified across all Tempo products, so you can easily jump from your project plans in Structure and Gantt to your Timesheet reports and vice versa.

Favorites

Do you have Structures you use every day? Now, you can mark them as favorites and quickly access them from the new navigation panel.

Archiving, filtering, and more

Not to forget about the Jira and Structure admins, we’ve introduced some improvements to the All Structures page to make their lives easier. It’s now possible to archive structures, filter structures, and track how often structures on your instance are being used.

feature: Structure Admin permissions

There are a number of advanced Structure functions that require administrator-level access, but we realize Jira admins are busy - so we've introduced a new global Structure Admin permission, which allows a user to:

  • View and edit the configurations for all structures in the All Structures list

  • Save and manage global formulas

  • Revert Copy to Jira actions run by any user

More details: Structure Admin Permissions

feature: Simplified filtering and grouping

We’ve made it even easier to work with quick filters and quick groups - click the new Filter / Group button and choose the filter or group you want to apply:

  • No JQL is required, you can filter by field values or use advanced settings for JQL queries

  • Any user can temporarily filter a structure for themselves or use recommended (saved) filters from the structure owner

  • To change the order of applied groupings simply rearrange them on the panel

feature: Share your formulas across the organization with ease

Do you have formulas you would like to share with others or use in different structures?

Jira admins can now turn popular formulas into Global Formulas, which everyone on the Jira instance can use in any structure they want. Global formulas can also be used in generators.

Build your hierarchies your way with two new generators: Filter by Formula and Group by Formula!

Jira Parent Column

Our customizable Parent column will help you gain insights faster - get the status and priority of parent tasks at a glance, without even adding them to the structure!

Jira Teams Improvements

You can now do even more with Jira teams in Structure:

  • Group issues by Jira teams
  • Update team values in Structure, inline or with drag-and-drop

feature: Visualize your structures as boardroom-ready roadmaps

If you’re anything like us, you track everything in Structure. You’ve built custom hierarchies, sum-ups, and complex formulas for calculating status and risks. You might even manage your project plan in Gantt.

But what do you do when it’s time to share all that information with leadership or clients?

With our latest Strategic Roadmaps integration, you can build powerful visualizations on top of your existing data in Structure:

  • Visualize data from your structures as easy-to-read roadmaps

  • Keep your roadmaps in sync with actual execution data from Structure and Jira

  • Publish your roadmaps outside of Jira for easy access for your stakeholders and clients
